The JUWEL holiday village Gartow is only a few short steps away from the circa 64 hectare lake. The only thing that cuts the holiday park off from the lake is the small road that leads into the village.

You can bathe, swim, surf or fish – either at a natural beach or on the opposite shore at a sand-covered beach. There is a rental station for rowboats, sailboats, and electro-boats; an adventure playground and barbecue areas. Next to the holiday village are tennis courts and a football field, mini-golf, and last but not least, a large adventure pool area with long water slides, water fountains, a counter-current system and a thermo-brine bath that’s great for your health.

In Gartow and its surroundings, there are many good and also low-priced restaurants, a horse ranch, an animal preserve and much more.

With so many things to do, you won’t want to forget the beautiful surroundings with romantic, old villages. Also recommended are trips to Hamburg and its harbour, the Lunenburg heath or Mecklemburg with its capital Schwerin. Gartow is the ideal starting point for all of these excursions. One vacation will not be enough to discover everything!
