Cuxhaven has been a seaside resort since 1816 with beaches as far as the eye can see. But that's only one aspect of this picturesque town. Sightsee in the harbour or take one of the broad range of excursions to Helgoland or the tidelands of Neuwerk. Or why not go on a mini-cruises to the seal beaches in the mouth of the river Elbe?

The district Döse, beginning at the northernmost part of the town with its kilometres of sandy beaches and the heated saltwater pool is the perfect seaside holiday destination. Both the spa park and the event facility are nearby.

The tideland site of Cuxhaven-Duhnen is one of the most beautiful, and its solidity and breadth are ideal for hours of walks to enjoy the scenery and climate. Or, why not explore the green nature reserve "Duhner Heide"?

There is all a separate nudism area where you don't need clothes to enjoy the great pleasures of bathing.
