Moritzburg is named after the hunting castle that was built by the elector Moritz of Wettin. You shouldn’t miss it, especially the "Monströsensaal", the guest room with jewelled leather walls, the chapel or the dining hall. It also has a park with several fish ponds and a game preserve.

Meißen is the porcelain capital of Europe and has a medieval flair with its castle, cathedral and the small alleys with shops, cafés and wine cellars. Shopping here is an experience.

Dresden offers plenty of culture: 17 theatres, 30 museums and 15 galleries. A tour with a panorama bus will give you an overview of this unique assortment of interesting sights. A ride on a steamboat will round off any excursion.
